The 2022 “Prima dell’Alta Langa” event confirms the strong growth of the denomination.
Both attendance and enthusiasm were high in Turin for the sparkling effervescence of Alta Langa DOCG. More than 1200 industry professionals from Italy and abroad (France, England, Austria, Germany and the US) registered to taste the 115 cuvées presented by 46 producers of the Consorzio Alta Langa yesterday, June 6, at the Italdesign Museum.
This fourth edition of the event, following those at Grinzane Castle (spring 2018 and spring 2019) and Milan's Palazzo Serbelloni (autumn 2019), was staged amid the futuristic and contemporary cars that are part of Italdesign’s heritage. The choice of location was not accidental–during the event the new, iconic “Terra” institutional wineglass was unveiled, the result of a collaboration with Italdesign.
The glass represents the successful union of design and functionality, where form goes beyond the traditional design aesthetic of a wineglass.
The partnership between the Consorzio and Italdesign began 10 years ago in 2012, when the “Grande” wineglass, created exclusively for the Alta Langa Consorzio was unveiled to the public.
La Prima dell’Alta Langa di Torino ha visto anche il debutto della nuova presidente del Consorzio, Maria Cristina Castelletta che abbiamo intervistato per fare un punto della situazione sulla Denominazione.
