A Barolo with the Soul of the Langhe, Signed Aurelio Settimo

LA MORRA – In the vibrant heart of La Morra, one of the historic capitals of Barolo, lies the resilient yet gentle spirit of the Aurelio Settimo estate — a steadfast guardian of a classic, ever-vibrant vision of Nebbiolo.

In an era where wine speaks not only through taste but also through imagery, we created an in-depth video feature to accompany this article. Through sounds, faces, and landscapes, we aimed to convey all that this Barolo evokes in the glass.

Tradition That Resonates in the Glass

The Barolo DOCG by Aurelio Settimo is crafted exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, grown on calcareous-clay hillsides at over 300 meters above sea level. The winemaking philosophy is intentionally traditional: extended maceration, fermentation in stainless steel, and at least two years of aging in large Slavonian oak casks. The result is a wine that avoids stylistic shortcuts and instead relies on time to shape its character.

Sensory Profile: Discipline and Poetry

In the glass, this Barolo reveals a clear, luminous garnet hue. The bouquet unfolds in a crescendo of sensations: ripe red fruit, dried rose petals, exotic spices, and a subtle note of licorice that invites slow contemplation. On the palate, it is deep and structured yet never rigid. Elegant, finely polished tannins are beautifully interwoven with a freshness that ensures great aging potential.

The Video: A Visual Tale Among Vines and Silences

To offer an immersive glimpse into this winemaking world, we produced a short documentary filmed among the vineyard rows, the cellar, and the voices of those who live this wine every day.

A Barolo for Those Who Seek Truth

The Barolo DOCG by Aurelio Settimo is not a wine for casual sipping. It demands attention — it asks to be waited for, to be listened to. But for those who accept the invitation, it offers sincere, layered emotions deeply rooted in the genius loci of La Morra.
