Langhe Nascetta

Nascetta is the only white grape variety indigenous to the Langhe.

The first reference to it was in 1879; in the nineteenth century the variety grew in the Langhe, in particular in the Novello area.

On the occasion of the ten-year anniversary of receiving DOC status, the Langa Indigenous Association, a group that includes Nascetta makers, produced a documentary series about this grape variety. The documentary presents Nascetta through its makers and several experts; it discusses the characteristics, history and the behind-the-scenes of this authentic, indigenous, white Langa grape.
