The story of the Deltetto family began towards the end of the nineteenth century on the steep Roero hillsides in the “I Lioni” village. 

In 1953, Carlo, nicknamed Carlin, decided to move with his wife Caterina to Canale, in the heart of Roero to establish his estate. An artisan winemaker, he recognised immediately the great potential of the territory and its produce, and set down roots with a view to an ethical and responsible agriculture, since passed down to his descendants.
